How to read our Picks

For those who are new to Horse Racing handicapping, what you'll find for each race is a line of four numbers informing you which number of horse for that race we have Picked to come first, i.e. if Race 1 said 3-6-8-2 then we are saying Horse 3 will win with our next choices for the win being horses 6 then 8 then 2 in that order.

Who makes the Picks?

Picks come from our in-house handicapper (Sean), our turf-man (J.N.), our Operations Officer (Mick) or our Editor (Neil). All of their Picks are clearly labeled each day.

Our in-house handicapper and turf-man will also provide analysis for their selections in written columns.

What tracks are being covered today?

Monday is a relatively sedate day when it comes to racing and that means we are covering just four tracks. Delta Downs gets the betting overview treatment from our turf-man whilst our Editor has straight Picks for Mahoning Valley, Parx Racing and Turf Paradise.

How did you do Yesterday?

Sunday was another excellent day for us as we ended up with 29% winners on first preferences (21/73) from the team. Our Editor led the way with a 33% winning percentage going 14/43. Our in-house handicapper backed him up with a 6/20 (30%) day. The Houston Racing Festival tripped up our turf-man though as he went 1/10 (10%).
