Holy moly. I haven’t posted in forever. I have….. *drumroll please* A BIG GIRL JOB! Anyone in their early twenties that has just finished college knows the struggle. Only 27% of college grads find a job within their course of study, a even less of those people find a career within the 6-month time frame the government gives you before you have to start paying back those insane student loans. Another fun fact – college grads change jobs an average of 20 times within their life before retirement. Holy crap…

I Shot The Sheriff Chords

Anyways, I feel #blessed. I didn’t want to post anything until it was officially the real deal, but about 2 months ago I found my dream job in marketing and graphic design. And I am so happy to say that I never expected I would have this job so soon after graduating college (or ever, for that matter). But here I am – it is the day of my 60 day review, and I’m on board 👍

I want to continue my side business of contract graphic design work and selling my own art, but I am obviously so busy with this new job. For now, my three priorities are my job, getting fit (I will blog more about that soon), and my personal life. I want to record all of these things with this blog. A few months back I started this blog to review things and share my life with the world in a way where I could create my own platform. I still want to do that, but I hate routine. I hate feeling stuck in a pod of this or that. I am ever changing, always growing. I recently started Crossfit so that might be fun to document my weightloss/fitness journey.

I promise I’ll get back to it. If you want, I’ll keep you updated. All I have to say is that I’m not afraid to admit that I Shot the Serif 🤷‍♀️

I shot the sheriff
But I didn't shoot no deputy
Oh, no, no
I shot the sheriff
But I didn't shoot no deputy
Ooh

All around in my hometown
They're tryin' to track me down
They say they want to bring me in guilty
For the life of a deputy
For the life of a deputy
But I say

I shot the sheriff
(But I swear it was in self-defense) I swear it was in self-defense, yeah
It was I shot the sheriff
And they say it is a capital offense

Sheriff John Brown always hated me
For what, I don't know
Every time I plant a seed
He said kill them before it grow
He said kill them before they grow
And so

And so

I shot the sheriff
But I didn't shoot the deputy
It was I shot the sheriff
(But I didn't shoot the deputy) I didn't shoot the deputy, no, no

Freedom came my way one day
And I started out of town, yeah
Then all of a sudden I saw sheriff John Brown
He was aiming to shoot I down
So I shot, yes, I shot, shot him down
And I say

I-I-I-I shot the sheriff
Lord, I didn't shoot the deputy
(No, no, no)
It was I who shot the sheriff
But I didn't shoot the deputy

I Shot The Serif Poster

Reflexes had the better of me
And what is to be must be
Every day the bucket goes to the well
I say, one day the bottom a-go drop out
One day the bottom will drop out
And so
And so
Really sing

I shot the sheriff
But I didn't shoot the deputy
(No, no, no)
I shot the sheriff
But I didn't shoot the deputy

Sobre I Shot The Sheriff

  • Marley explicó su intención de la siguiente manera: 'Quiero decir: 'Le disparé a la policía', pero el gobierno habría montado un escándalo, así que dije: 'Le disparé al sheriff'.... pero es la misma idea: justicia'.

I Shot The Serif Game
